This part of the web site is devoted to our life living ashore.
Since ceasing to live aboard Harmonie we have lived in Bradley Stoke near Bristol, Bridgnorth in Shropshire and Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. Shortly after we came to live in New Zealand, Sue died of cancer and I am at present still living in Tauranga, New Zealand having been diagnosed with Myeloma, a type of incurable blood cancer, where I have been treated.
My chemo concluded in December 2020. I will return home to England on May 4th 2021 and organise a walk the length of the Macmillan Way West to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Charity in memory of Sue in 2022 but in the meantime you can donate to Macmillan by clicking on the link below.
I have also recorded my life from leaving school in Somerset in 1956 and the lives of Sue and myself since we met in Melbourne, Australia in 1974 then lived in Scotland and England. You can find all these pages in the drop down menu under History. Other pages detailing some of our family history, caving songs, favourite poems and music are also in the above menu as is my current web log.
