The Corries wrote this song and it was regularly sung by the Ghillies as a folk song. Many years later the first and last verses were adopted as the Scottish Unofficial National Anthem but is the Official anthem of the rugby and football teams and Uncle Murdo refuses to sing it saying "it's a folk song written by the Corries".
As an English Rugby supporter I think its great when we win at Twickers to remind them of proud Edwards army and "send them homeward tae think again". Problem recently is they keep beating us there!

O Flower of Scotland
When will we see your like again?
That fought and died for
Your wee bit Hill and Glen
And stood against him
Proud Edward's Army
And sent him homeward tae think again

The Hills are bare now
And Autumn leaves lie thick and still
O'er land that is lost now
Which those so dearly held
That stood against him
Proud Edward's Army
And sent him homeward tae think again

Those days are past now
And in the past they must remain
But we can still rise now
And be the nation again
That stood against him
Proud Edward's Army
And sent him homeward tae think again
