Ian Anderson (1947 - ) is a Scottish musician/vocalist who together with Jeffrey Hammond and John Evan formed a rock/folk group called Jethro Tull when they were pupils at Blackpool Grammar School.
Ian Anderson graduated from guitar to playing the flute which he often did playing on one leg! The track below I have chosen by him is Locomotive Breath and I love the way they improvise for several bars and then suddenly break into a solid rock beat.
