Enrique Granados (1867 - 1916) was a Spanish pianist and classical composer. He mainly wrote music for piano but were then transcribed for classical guitar.
Granados was tragically drowned with his wife when he was crossing the English Channel by a ferry during WW1 which was torpedoed by a German submarine.
The recording below is an arrangement of his Spanish Dance No 5 by the English Guitar Quartet. When we owned Provender Delicatessen we sponsored a concert by them in the Parret Music Festival where I first heard Granados works.
