Manuel de Falla (1876 - 1946) was a Spanish pianist and classical composer. He lived for 7 years in Paris where he met Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky as well as others. As a kid I remember being excited by his 'Ritual Fire Dance'.
The recording below is an arrangement of his Spanish Dance No 1 by the English Guitar Quartet. The dance is from Falla's 'La Vida Breve' opera and highlights the Arabic influence on Spanish Folk Music.
Falla's discography can be found here.
