Frédéric Chopin

Frédéric Chopin (1810 - 1849) was a Polish pianist and composer and wrote compositions mainly for the piano. The son of a Frenchman living in Warsaw he moved to live in Paris where he did most of his composing.

Chopin wrote many well known piano works and I could choose one of svereral as my favourite but I have chosen a piece that is lesser known that I never tire of listening to.

He wrote four Ballad's and my favourite is his Ballad No 1 in G Minor Opus 23 which is played here by the Hungarian Pianist Istvan Szekely.

My second favourite which is very difficult to play is his Scherzo No 1 in B Minor and you can find this below once again played by Istvan Szekely.
