This song was recalled by Maurice Hewins of the Wessex and was one that I had forgotton. It is sung to the tune of Oh my darling Clementine.
Goughs is a show cave in Cheddar Gorge, weegee's are none cavers and OCL is Oliver Cromwell Lloyd of UBSS.

CHORUS:
Oh my cavers, Oh my Cavers
Oh my cavers so sublime,
Out of caverns into taverns,
Where we booze 'til closing time.
See Bob Pike, master caver,
To be Goughs Guide he did go,
As a caver few are braver,
Leading weegee's down below
CHORUS:
Oh my cavers etc...
See Mike Holland, master caver,
Wrote a song on Priddy Green,
As a caver few are braver,
Even fewer are more obscene.
CHORUS:
Oh my cavers etc...
See Mike Thompson, master caver,,
Bought a house on Priddy Green,
Gave up caving to sell weegee's,
Cups of tea and Mendip creams
CHORUS:
Oh my cavers etc...
OCL, master caver,
Takes a rope on every trip,
No lifeliner could be finer,
At tearing cowboy's off a strip.
